Have you noticed that some people just win no matter what? A great economy, bad economy, great franchise system, weak franchise system…it doesn’t seem to make any difference to these people. I love being around people like this. The not-so-secret to their success is this: A positive attitude.

Before you stop reading, this isn’t a rah-rah, sunshine, and roses moment. I am not advocating for you to keep your head in the clouds and ignore reality. The reality is the economy has a lot of uncertainty. Some people will use that as a reason to put their dreams and goals on hold. Others will seize the opportunity and win anyway.

Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich, wrote, “Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit.” No matter what challenges stand between you and your dreams, they can’t stop you. They simply reroute you to a better way to get there. Every entrepreneur faces challenges and is afraid of the unknown, especially making the decision to start. But when you know you’ve already won, nothing else matters.

One of my favorite Napoleon Hill quotes is, “You either ride life, or it rides you. Your mental attitude determines who is ‘rider’ and who is ‘horse.'”
